Black Salt (Kala Namak)
Used in Asian cooking and as a health supplement.
It is a special type of Indian mineral salt with a distinctive / sulphurous flavour. Black salt is not actually black, but more a reddish-grey, because of the presence of trace minerals and iron. It is not interchangeable with sea salt or table salt because of it's distinct flavour.
